How often do you post?

On Facebook we post 5 times a week

On LinkedIn we post 3 times a week

What time of day do the posts go out?

It depends on the optimized time of day for your page. We tend to post in the late afternoons to Facebook and LinkedIn. 

Do you customize posts?

No we do not customize posts. All of our posts are tailored for real estate agents but not for you specifically.

Does that mean I will post the same thing as another real estate agent?

Yes. This is completely ok though because the likelihood that your Facebook follower is following more than one real estate agent on social media is less than 1 percent.

Do you do Instagram, Pinterest or other social networks?

Right now we stick to Facebook and LinkedIn because that’s where you have to be as a real estate agent in 2019. We do have resources and tips on what you can do on these networks though!

How do I set up a business page?

What’s the difference between my personal and business pages?

A personal page is for non-commercial use and represents an individual person. A business page looks similar to a personal one, but offer tools for businesses and brands. Pages have followers, compared to a personal page, which has friends. We only post to Facebook business pages due to Facebook’s rules and regulations.

How do I update my contact info on my business page?

  1. Go into the setting section of your page

  2. Click page info tab on the left side

  3. Add a phone number, address, website, hours, etc.

How do I write an engaging post?

  1. Keep the post between 100 and 250 characters.

  2. Post photos and engaging questions

  3. Fill-in-the blanks

  4. Create two-way conversations

What is the difference between my timeline and my newsfeed?

Your timeline is the space where you see your own posts and your newsfeed is the ongoing list of the activity from your friends and pages you like

Facebook Terminology

Status Update: A post to your friends/followers

Follow: When you choose to receive updates from pages or people

Comment: When someone adds their thoughts to a post you shared

Notifications: Updates about activity (likes, comments, etc.)

Tagging: A tag links a person, page or place to something you post, like a status update or a photo. For example, you can tag a photo to say who’s in the photo or post a status update and say who you’re with.

How do I generate a lot of connections on LinkedIn?

Joining groups and forums is a good way to connect to other professionals in your industry. Sharing valuable content and engaging your connections is a great way to stay in touch and relevant. If you have friends or colleagues already on LinkedIn, ask them to endorse your skills. Also, invite your connections to weigh in when you post a question or an article. This will keep you at the front of their mind.

How can I use my LinkedIn to generate sales leads?

There are a lot of ways to do this:

  1. Start by building quality connections.

  2. Reach out to satisfied customers and ask them to write you a recommendation.

  3. Answer questions in forums. Doing so exposes you not only to the people who asked the question, but to people who are searching for similar information.

  4. Posting relevant content! If your connections respond well to articles and blogs that you post, keep it up!

What if I forgot my LinkedIn password?

That’s ok! If you’re logged in to LinkedIn, go ahead and log out by hovering over your picture in the top right corner and clicking sign out. The click sign in in the top right hand corner and enter your email address. Underneath that, click the question mark next to the password box. Re-enter your email and follow the instructions sent to you.

What is a hashtag?

A Hashtag is the “#” symbol, followed by a topic. It is a favorite tool to organize tweets, making them easier to find. If everyone agrees to use a certain hashtag to tweet about a topic, it become easier to find that topic in a search.
